After reading several reviews on the subject I have come to the conclusion that there is a large hole in my shaving education - in that I am unfamiliar with the Gillette "Super Speed" range.
Actually I have tried one SS - the Red-tip - and it flayed me, which is odd as the blade gap is smaller than my customary HD. Clearly a lack of skill or adaptation on my part.
