Mitchell's Wool Fat gets a reputation for its bad reaction with some shavers due to lanolin. I have not seen similar comments about other soaps and wondered if other soaps have lanolin and caused a similar allergic reaction.

I haven't heard of this, but I'd assume if it was an allergic reaction to lanolin, then any soap containing lanolin would give the same reaction. HERE'Sa link with soaps containing lanolin, so if you're allergic avoid them.
I had a reaction to MWF. I assumed it was the lanolin. but then out of curiosity, I started putting lanolin in my soaps when i started making them. No reaction. From my experience, it is more likely to be a reaction to fragrance.
The best way to test if you will have a reaction to lanolin is to use pure lanolin because using other creams ect and you get a reaction will just indicate you are allergic to " something" in the cream / product, it may not be the lanolin!
I have no reaction to lanolin, often used for metals finishing & never had any problems with it.
MWF/kent gave me a really bad rash/redness,
I suspect a fragrance element too.
