Micromesh?? never heard of it, looks like wet n dry to me.

Completely different as I understand it - it's a woven (hence mesh) substance.

This is a confusing item. The micro mesh that I have was from a "vintage pen" web site and does look like Wet-Dry but in the smallest of grits that I've ever seen, then again the micro mesh I've seen at the 'hardware store' is an actual mesh type thing. Strange.

While the coarser grades are similar to finer wet-and-dry, the 10,000 grit sheet (which is the only one you really need for nib smoothing) feels soft to the touch.
