I actually prefer boar knots these days but if I had to pick a badger it would probably be T&H branded Rooneys, nice handles and gel tipped knots make for a really pleasant experience.

If made in China anything from brilliant to rubbish is possible depending on how much Kent is willing to spend.

Maybe Kent have modernized BK12 and 8 by adding backbone and scritch to better suit hobby shavers aka floppy bashers

edit: only reason I would consider buying a BK8 is the old school soft and floppy so no Kent for me
