just had the sh**/ scared outta me

I consider myself extremely lucky to have seen the Lancaster take off from RAF Waddington with its flying cousin VERA and the last flying Vulcan XH558

I was there that day too, although instead of watching the launch from there, we went up into Lincoln City centre for the flypast. A great day sadly never to be repeated.

How does the new formation of the BBMF differ from how they've previously flown?
It must be nice for you to own some shaving-related items from that period.

It may just be that they've re-named a previous formation to commemorate 60 years of the BBMF and to commemorate Wing Commander Peter Thompson, its principal founder; however, at RIAT it comprised 4 fighters (3 Spitfires and a Hurricane) together with the Lancaster when, generally, I've only seen the Lancaster with 2 fighters.
