My Razor turned up yesterday

I believe it to be a 1921-1928 Shawmut as in the pic below.

I gave it a quick blast in the sonic cleaner and now it does not smell like it's been in the attic for the last 100 years lol man it stunk especially around the handle. I would say it cleaned up rather nicely.





I had a fantastic shave with it and I am very pleased with my purchase.

Nope no splits or cracks at all, I would say perfect condition TBF.
A mans gotta love a bargain and the glazed look on my wifes eyes as I give her a history lesson about the razor. she just yawns and replies " You don't have to sell it to me, it just means more shoes for me!"
 
Identical to one I have, except in much nicer condition.
The majority of the plating had come off the top cap on mine the handle had a split, which I had to repair...
Are we allowed to ask how much of a bargain it was?
 
Interested to find out how you get on with Mogno soap . Been tempted few times to buy it but need to use up what I have first
 

What's a BST? (he naively asked awaiting an obvious answer....!) Yeah, ignore me - worked it out as soon as I posted this
