Have you found shaving gear/software etc' that works well despite not intended for shaving specifically?
My top of the list:
1. Spice and Wood body splash from M&S used as aftershave. This is usually half the price if the equivalent aftershave but comes in a plastic bottle, however it has far more glycerine in it and smells identical to the ASL
2. Noxzema deep cleansing cream as pre shave. Not the greatest advocacy for pre shave here but this stuff does works well as a beard prep in cases you don't fancy a shower before shave
3. Witch Hazel (any) work well as astringent post shave.
Travel dog water bowl? Not any more.
Now it's my new travelling shaving bowl!

Noxzema cleanser found on Amazon, cheap as chips.Where do you find the noxzema cream? Is it menthol?
Anyway, I use nappy cream or aqueous cream (or e45 if you don't mind the price) to shave my head! A thin layer of shave cream first and top up with nappy cream (£.99 small pot at savers!).
And very fine they are in the Flesh too Andy, thanks for mine, I will be trying them out soon.Copper parts for heatsink mounting. I bought a few of these to convert into razor handles, since they were already drilled for M5 both ends. Turned out really well and I only needed a hand knurler, angle grinder and drill press to finish them. I've been using them on a few of my razors.
