Yep, and forum guys trying to impress other forum guys by buying the latest do dad, and of course the followers who are blinded by bling.I think many are awestruck perhaps of a highly polished SS shining like a diamond in a goat's ass, or have convinced themselves that somehow it feels "different" on their skin. Personally, I think that's just BS. If we took three dildoes made of lead, brass & SS respectively and alternated shoving them up a "test pilot's" azz I highly doubt he could determine which was which. But, people can talk themselves into anything.........except me being the "test pilot".
I've also just got the dscosmetics t7 and I like it, mild but reasonably efficient. I think if anyone is looking to try stainless steel but doesn't want to shell out the big bucks, this would be a good option.Stainless steel razors don't have to cost a lot
I've recently acquired a DS Cosmetics T7 (Mamba clone)
It shaves perfectly well - absolutely smooth with irritation free results, and retails for less than £30 delivered
Does it shave better than a £200 Stainless Timeless ? - in my opinion, no - but, they shave differently. . . The Timeless has more heft and the fit and finish is markedly better.
For me, stepping up to say, a Wolfman is out of the question - I couldn't justify the outlay on a shaving implement, no matter how well they may shave.
I hear what the Vintage advocate guys are saying, each to their own - 'live and let live'
I have only owned one Vintage razor - a Fatboy, and to be perfectly honest I wasn't blown away by the way it shaved. It was nice to use for sure, but it wasn't my thing.
Of course, the above may be complete shit and if you think so, should be dismissed as such.
Am I correct in assuming you make Seygus razors? My brother in law and I have built and sell our own razors, Aluminium, SS, Titanium and even with our own original shape (two different gaps in the same baseplate, so you can shave 'twice' without change, just turning the gadget), but my favourite one is Merkur, 42C, for just 20-22£.
Definitely, SS or Titanium are just another hype, long-term though.
