Is it worth having a single Shave of the Day thread? Not limited to specific weeks

Should we have a running shave of the day thread instead of a weekly one?

St @Palmolive fox of Hartlepool can perform the ceremony in the morning...

If he gets out of bed on time, before, I do.

Palmolive Fox has started a new weekly thread this morning and there are a few entries already. Nothing wrong with that but should I set up a competing (or complementary) running thread for today's shave?
I've just had one and wondering where to post it

Hi just checking as confused…. There is now a weekly SOTD and also one Aug 2025 to Dec 2025. Can we move any listings in the former one (weekly) to the latter and just rename the latter so it’s now the only place to post SOTDs and it just rolls on and on…

Maybe a good option to consider would be monthly theme but for me weekly does the job as there are more than 10 pages of posts every week. Making the thread longer lasting would result in threads with 100 pages for monthly or more than 1000 pages for yearly one.

Thanks Johnny. I don't mind.
We have a weekly thread and a thread running till the end of the calendar year.
I guess it's up to people which they choose to post in.
It's not really the point though and a little disrespectful in my opinion.
Everyone could see you wanted to take your time and get it right, was it too much to ask for a little patience, rather than jump in and take over.
I will be posting my S.O.T.D on one of the other threads rather than a hijacked thread and I have added my first name to my ignore list.
For clarity it's not you.

Honestly I didn't take Mark's decision to create a new thread as some kind of attack or anything. I feel like I have opened a can of worms here!

I happened to post this morning's shave in Mark's thread but it's up to people where they want to post.

Nor am I offended by Johnny Bravo making his views clear. I'm just making mine clear and saying I don't mind and I'm not offended by Mark.

As far as I'm concerned in my limited dealings with both Mark and Johnny you have been good guys and I hope I am not now offending either or both of you....
