Imperial Leather soap

I used to use imperial leather soap for years but ten (maybe more) years ago I found the quality turned very poor. The soap just turned to mush after a few washes.
Has this been sorted ? Did I get a few bad batch runs? Or is it still shit?

Never liked it, found that it dried the skin no apparent moisturising qualities.

I find it pretty good and I’m quite ‘rough’ on soap. Lasts reasonably well and I wouldn’t say it goes mushy at all. Has glycerin too but then don’t they all nowadays? Lovely scent o’course.

They exported production to Asia, and added poor ingredients. We never used it as children as the scent was too strong. We used Pears, which is now made in India with added SLS. Both are shadows of their former selves.

There is only one soap you can rely on and that is Aleppo soap, simply the best in my humble opinion.
