Fresh, green, woodsy, citrusy, soapy, spicey - I can understand those.

But the salty taste of a battery'? Fuck right off.

I post on there sometimes and love jumping on people who say things like "smelled like vomit strained through a tramp's sock"

There are some very helpful reviewers who will tell you what some things actually smell like rather than trying to win a creative writing competition.

Mostly though, they are pretentious fruitcakes . . . with a tiny hint of nuts . . . and, I'm getting . . . yes crackers.

Well, some cosmetics can really do that... Try putting a piece of not yet cured soap to your tongue -- you'll get a zap as if you put the two poles of a large battery to your tongue, due to the presence of unreacted lye. This is in fact the 'zap' test homesoapers use to check for completion of the saponification.

Some of the scent notes described for this perfume could actually make sense (not saying that they do, just that it is possible), such as 'metallic' and 'dust on a hot light bulb'. However, if the descriptions are indeed correct, I'd be very suspicious about the chemical/toxicological safety of the perfume ;-)

Like putting a battery in your nose, one pole per hole? ;-)

Getting some NaOH dust in your nose, or even sniffing the aerosol that briefly forms over a concentrated NaOH solution upon introducing the hydroxide in water, will give you a similar sensation. However, that's still not really a smell-experience...
 
Dont know about that one but Odeur 53 smells like nail varnish and the smell you used get from old TV's that produced loads of static. Pretentious....... Yes, Wearable in public.... nah. It gave me a headache.
