I acquired this lovely Gillete DE as part of a PIF from Ben, @hdb3326



Can someone who knows please tell me which model it is? I (think it's a Super Speed?)
It's dated Q1 1959

Yes, a Flare Tip super speed.
There was a red painted flare Tip which was more aggressive and a blue which was milder. This one was in the middle.

Was initially quite pleased....until I realised I wasn't in a supermarket buying alcohol

I knew it wouldn't be long before either got an answer.
Being mid-aggressive is my preference to.

'59 would be E, they didn't use Q because it could be mistaken for O, however they made a small number of Q marked razors in 1970 before going to R.
