Stirling just introd a clone of the discod. Sir Irisch Moos. Now that the tariff dust has settled and a deal struck you might want to try this one. ;)

Bad news unfortunately, I have the tub of Stirling so call I, Rich Moose.

The soap doesn't smell, nowhere near the original vintage Sir Irisch Moos tallow shave stick I have in my bloody den.

I have the Stirling, and it's not a 100% dupe, but it lives in the same general vicinity as SIM.

That said, my SIM shave stick is probably 10 years old at this point, so it's hard to compare even directly. I feel like the Stirling has the scent strength dialed to 11 and has a bit of a 'bitter' accord that is much sharper than the original. I was hoping it might mellow a bit over time. I initially bought the sample size of the Moose, and the scent strength was such that I had to let the other samples in the box air out a little before they dropped the Moose scent that lingered on them.

That said, I do enjoy it. It is still an enjoyable scent ( at least to me ).

** I have the Emerald Moss as well, and I prefer the Stirling. SIM>Stirling>Emerald Moss

*** I use SIM just a few times a year on special occasions. It is a bit of my holy grail scent.

Soap sample & AS sample arrived today and were used by me as well. Man, this is a great scent!!

Per Stirling:

...green, bergamot, rosemary, lemon, orange and coriander for top notes. In the middle are notes of geranium, lavender, clove, and cedar. The base consists of moss tonka bean, and patchouli notes.

I can't wait for their upcoming version in mutton tallow!!

G'day Moosie,

I'm asking all the Irisch Moos lovers, yes, YOU Mr Moosie. There are three different modern versions of Irisch Moos shaving soaps, which soap do you like best and WHY?
