He is giving up something that will either kill him or result in severe health consequences later in life, for something that is believed to be 99% safer. There is a lot we don't know about the long term health impacts of vaping, but we do know about the long term health impacts of smoking. This is just my opinion you are only giving up something that's incredibly harmful and dangerous to replace it with something slightly less harmful with the same addictive issues plus it's still sucking money out of your pocket, to me it's like a alcholic saying he's giving up whiskey and from now on he's only drinking beer.
I think a lot of people just don't engage their brain when talking about smoking vs vaping!
Just don't quote any material from Dr. Stanton "I hate vaping" Glantz. His doctorate is in engineering, and he's a paid anti-vaping shill.Really fire away lets see your Smoking v Vaping then I'll put up some facts from my not so engaged brain, don't forget they told us for decades that smoking cigarettes were totally harmless when in fact the cigarette companies knew quite the opposite.
From your earlier comments you sound very well informed, I for one would like to know more of you wisdom.Really fire away lets see your Smoking v Vaping then I'll put up some facts from my not so engaged brain, don't forget they told us for decades that smoking cigarettes were totally harmless when in fact the cigarette companies knew quite the opposite.
Not to be obtrusive but that report doesn't once indicate or state that e-cigs are 'safe' it mentions several times that they need further regulations and that it is a progressive concern to adopt this. Just to put that to bed the NHS inhalator, gum and oral mucosal spray(or what I like to call the duck whistle) already does this (known ingredients, strength and form). The Royal College of Physicians' new report, ‘Nicotine without smoke: tobacco harm reduction', has concluded that e-cigarettes are likely to be beneficial to UK public health.
"E-cigarettes and long-term harm - the possibility of some harm from long-term e-cigarette use cannot be dismissed due to inhalation of the ingredients other than nicotine, but is likely to be very small, and substantially smaller than that arising from tobacco smoking. With appropriate product standards to minimise exposure to the other ingredients, it should be possible to reduce risks of physical health still further. Although it is not possible to estimate the long-term health risks associated with e-cigarettes precisely, the available data suggest that they are unlikely to exceed 5% of those associated with smoked tobacco products, and may well be substantially lower than this figure.
