How do you dispose of used blades

Buy a can of Chicken or Beef broth. Do not open. Cut a small slit in the top and drain liquid, rinse. You now have a sealed can for safe blade disposal. You can spray paint or decorate the can if you desire.

I chuck my used blades in a cheap metal tin. When its full , do I just throw the entire tin into the bin? are there any extra safety measures that I should follow?
Hammer it closed, I use a Tate & Lyle tin and hammer the lid flat so it won't pop off scattering blades all over the bin.

I currently use the Plastic blade banks you get Like the feathers and derbys come in etc but I am going to invest in a nice traditional looking blade bank.

I just snap them in half, wrap them in tissue and put in the bin. Blade banks are expensive and I can't be bothered to sod about draining fruit tins.
