How best to resize and upload Photos of kit for SOTD posts?

Hey guys.

I did an SOTD post today, but couldnt work out the best way to upload the image to the post. Where do you guys resize and upload the photos?

When I added as attachment I couldnt get it to show in the post.

Hello!

To resize and "touch-up" my photos, I use a free software called Photoscape. You can get it, for free, here: http://www.photoscape.org/

For uploading/hosting, I use photobucket.com. It stores all your images, it is free, and you can also touch them up there (although I don't use that function of the site).

It's better to use photbucket and the image icon, you use the www addy for the picture and then:

Attached images aren't the best option (much smaller pic and you have to click it), I think.

Generally, I find the "don't bother with a picture" option is the easiest.

I use Imageshack. Then just copy the "Link for forums" that it gives you and paste it directly here, no need to parse links.

If you use windows Stu its easy just to use paint click resize pixels to 600x400 gives decent photos its quicker and easier than messing with image shack

I find tinypic.com nicer to use than photobucket.

Likewise I use Photoscape or if I'm on linux Gimp

You could insert the photo into a Powerpoint slide, resize it to the size of the slide, then save as a JPEG file. Then you can upload it into the forum.
