Took me several months but I shopped eBay for a new Hoffritz Slant, Case, & Blade Holders; 5 blades came with the holders. It really came together yesterday and I can hardly believe the quality of all tems put together. Shaved with this Hoffritz blade today and wasn't impressed. 5 pass shave just got it done. I wonder why some entrerprizing individual or company hasn't begun making cases like this example. Custom cases for other "lone razors" would be a nice thing. Regards, Robert

yea love the razor...always wanted one and missed a few...

5 passes...u will be down to bone shortly...my slant is 2 with a touch up buff

That'll be down to the vintage blade there most likely, that blades probably 30+ years old.

It was the blade. I ran various blades through the razor and I'm always getting a 2 pass. A very nice set and I'm so glad I just got on with it and got my first slant. Something to warn about when using the old steel. Regards, Robert

I go 4 passes with my DE's and 3.5 with my str8's..I have "bear hair"... :lol:
