Thank you sir. I still prefer hobbyist rather than artisan as I think that it would loose all of the joy if it grows to be a business.

For me I do not think that actually making from parts or restoring brushes would be a bad business. But this is just my opinion. Now the joy would leave if I had to make the handle as that to me is not simple as putting 2 parts together to make kinds of brushes you do not see all the time.

I'm not saying it's a bad business I just don't want it to be that. I'm a full time electrical engineer working as a head of the relay protection department at national transmission system operator. Before I got the degree in electrical engineering I worked as an electrician for the summer break. My parents dropped from the college and worked with high school degree as geo survey technicians. Raising two kids from mediocre paychecks lead my father who was really good handyman to work as an electrician and to produce his own brandy to be able to raise me and my sister and provide us with the opportunity to finish college. Following his example I'm helping them with their geo survey work, making the brandy is not something we have any time to do anymore as father has some issues with his back and he's hardly moving at all. Beside those I needed something to break out from everyday stuff and to get away from PC. Making brushes started as a hobby and idea to be a side hustle to cover my shaving hobby and provide some funds to cover monthly bills it groved to making almost 300 brushes last year. Still I don't want it to be a business as I think all the joy of the making would go away. This year been a bit slower and having much more work this year at my job and moving to a bigger apartment I'm glad it's not as busy as the last year when the brush making is on the table.
