Highlander brushes

First brush made with Masur or Karelian birch. It is dyed in green and stabilized with resin. Extremely hard and heavy for wooden piece. Cutted a piece of it and placed a 3mm wide brass plate in between them to fill the gap from cutting and to add a bit more complexity. Ferule is made from faux ivory.

I sense a new order coming once pay day arrives!

Year ago a dear friend and customer asked for a special brush which I couldn't get done. After some discussion he said that instead of the previously requested he would like brush made with snake wood. I don't need to tell you that I had no idea what snake wood is and where to get it. Almost a year later I stumbled across a piece of snake wood on Spanish website specialized for music instruments wood supplies. As everything getting it sent to Montenegro was a mission that included shipping it to a friend in Spain who then forwarded it to me. And here we are almost a year later Sam got his piece that happens to be one of the final pieces in his collection. In my humble opinion this is one of the best looking and feeling woods out there. Ferule of the handle is made from faux ivory polyester resin to make it stand out even more.
