This was a recent purchase that got my interest because of the scales - they are white mother of Pearl with brass inserts and brass liners. I’m assuming they are original but I haven’t come across anything similar before. The MoP is super quality - but as you will see, hard to show in a photo. The first picture is how I received it with quite a few pit marks on front and back. However, these have pretty much come out.
I took the razor out of the scales for restoration and then re-pinned with brass rod only - no washers. It’s difficult to gauge how much pin to leave before you start peening, but this seems to be about right as the pivot pin which was replaced is pretty much the same size as the wedge end which was not replaced.
