I got the original Harry's razor as a gift and only used it a couple of times. To me it felt like a cheap copy of the Fusion 5 with the head pivoting on a rubber (?) hinge which was less flexible than the Gillette and I also found the blades dragged more.

Its still in my shaving stuff, but i have never felt like using it again.

It was more similar to the ASR Personna 5 blade Magnum.

I didn't enjoy the original too tuggy, but 15 years ago I disliked Bic DE blades and their disposables. However, now I enjoy their carts.
 
Well it arrived today. I haven't worked out how to remove the blade cover. It's fairly hefty and feels good in the hand. The connector reminds of an ASR product...
 
Arghhh, this vile contraption, nay, infernal device has scarred mine eyes! I dearly hope Matron has no ‘lotions’ for remedy…

I hate the Current hinges that Gillette has as they are too flexible for me, I want the Mach III not Mach 3 one as this used to as a teen since age 12 & 1/2 give me great shaves with the older slide on/clip on blades that had the non pivoting head or was a more solid connection. I used the Mach III and later after loosing the Mach III got a Mach III electric that I stopped using electric just putting in dead batteries to keep using until the blades were no longer made then used Wilkinson Blue blades until the brand made the blades close together so the shaver dulled out sooner then used until 2017 Personna Blue pack stopping due to the blades first getting duller slightly so I got 25--30 shaves then 17--18 shaves or 2.5 weeks of daily use. In 2017 I was stopping using any disposable/multi blade for a pre Rick Harris Endorsed Micro Touch One I got new at my local Walgreens in 2017 to April 2025 before Using a Gillette Adjustable 1960 era due to the Micro Touch One locking up one time in March only throwing the shaver on the ground got it opened up enough to use until I got the old shaver and was looking at new adjustable models in late 2024 as my Micro Touch one was slowly getting worse in the twist knob.

However, I have given up using any kind of modern multi blade or Bic single blade shaver unless I need to use something like a Bic single blade on vacation flight due to lost luggage for a bit. I might someday try one of those 2 blade 1/2 blade shavers at some point, one of the cheaper models from Amazon or AliExpress sellers that use normal 1/2 blades (the main non Chinese company for a twin blade is expensive) just to see if I can get a good nearly BBS shave with a single pass due to being 2 blades.
