HARD tallow

Wont lie, my favorite soft tallow soap is from Stirling Soap, the unscented one i tried was good. did go rancid smelling after say 8 months of heavy use.

But im wondering if a hard tallow based soap even exists in the world anymore. Le Pierre Lucien was called a hard soap but the stuff I got in a sampler was more like warm butter.

This is a bit of an odd one, I've got the one you mentioned and I've been using mine for a while and it's fine. Generally soaps, whatever the consistency or formulation go rancid if they haven't dried out properly.

Something you could do with the Stirling is scoop out a tiny bit and lather it up in a shaving bowl. This is something I do with all my softer shaving soaps.

would let it dry it. but i was using it for a year and still had maybe a 1/4 left before that rancid hit
