Hair Conditioner as beard prep.

We are told that hair conditioner can be used for beard prep so long as it is the type that softens rather than strengthens hair.
Fine - does anyone know the names of any softening hair conditioners?

I didn't think there was a difference, conditioning usually softens at the same or am I being thick again?

I have tired it with a few conditioners. I used my wife’s Redken conditioner when we were away for a weekend and also tried DR Harris conditioner when I forgot to use some prorarso one morning. I find as long as you rinse thoroughly any conditioner does the job but I prefer Prorarso pre/post used as a pre shave.

I am not well known for spending a great deal off cash............... Ok I'm as tight as a
Duck behind. I swear by conditioner specially if its a morning shave and I haven't got
