The Prisoner of Zenda - Anthony Hope
She - H Rider Haggard
And a couple of superior modern ones:
No Country for Old Men - Cormac McCarthy
The Sum of All Fears - Tom Clancy (I like this in spite of myself: the pacing is exemplary)
Finally, one which ticks the crime and true crime boxes:
The Black Dahlia - James Ellroy
although for crime fiction any Raymond Chandler will do nicely.

dam good book and about as close to the truth as anyone is going to get pat and tony were freinds of the family and although they change over the last couple of years of their lives they were still two very decent people, that ya never crossed :shock:
