Ive got the poor thing cleaned and lubricated. Zippo my fluid of love..

Tried a quick test of it tonight, 2nd use Bic chrome platinum, lathered my face for a buffing pass, set on 1, it merely moved lather.

Lathered my arm, didnt really shave until set to 5, and then it wasnt that effective. Set to 9 it was a "go" in that it just mowed the hair down. I have very smooth forearm now..

Very tingly.. after shaving this month. The glycerin i have added to my colgate puck has really been beneficial.

So I received a new Black Beauty in the post today and started giving it a thorough clean because the "last 1/4 turn" was locked. The TTO mechanism was very stiff and creaky with 20+ years of scum and buildup. Gave it a soak in boiled water from the kettle for about 15 min and the TTO was...

the gaps change as they should as I put it through the numbers and lock it down.

I think its more of a head angle that I am not a big fan of. Did a shave with it on no 1.. with a bic chrome platinum,,, and it was like shaving with a weishi.... not the greatest,, had to go over lots of spots because i couldnt get the right angle on the damn thing.. came out rather ok.
with how I had todo it, i think some spots got 6 with the grain passes.. and still as equal to my tech doing a sigle withthe grain pass with the same blade..
