Gillette Sensor

Although I have always used a DE razor, I am curious to try the cartridge system to find out for myself how it compares. I really do not want anything too fancy, and would very much like to try the 2 bladed Gillette Sensor, which I have read many good reports about. However, I can't find one in any shops locally, and someone did say that Gillette were discontinuing them in order to force shavers on to the more expensive / profitable models. Does anyone on our forum know anything about this? Many thanks.

I saw them in Waitrose not long ago. You could also try Gillette Atra/Contour/Vector/Slalom (same cartridge razor named differently for different markets) available through eBay.

The carts are still easy to find, the handles less so.

The Sensor Excels are a similar price.

I was always disappointed when I tried the plain Sensor cartridges, in comparison, so I think they are the better buy.

Either cartridge will fit on the handle so you could try both on it. £6.75 from Amazon:-
