I really liked both the Rubies and Nacets, for me there's not much between them....except the cost, Rubies are not worth twice the price
Well I had a talk with a supplier regarding the box design and pointed out that the word platinum was missing off the box and he said it was a box redesign and the blades inside the box are printed up as the old ones , with the word platinum on the the blade and indeed they are the same blades .....no need to worry , just as good as ever.Well i think i prefer the rubies over the nacets. That doesn't mean i don't like nacet blades.
Now i want to ask something else. What do you know about the new Gillette rubie Plus over the Gillette rubie platinum? Are they the same?
There were some concerns about the new packs being fakes but as Blademonkey says still the same blades inside a redesigned package.Well I had a talk with a supplier regarding the box design and pointed out that the word platinum was missing off the box and he said it was a box redesign and the blades inside the box are printed up as the old ones , with the word platinum on the the blade and indeed they are the same blades .....no need to worry , just as good as ever.
Some people did get worried over the different packaging but fear not , I have been useing these blades and they are as sharp as a mother in laws tounge and as smooth as smooth can be.
I agree with you I also love Nacet blades but I love rubies more!
Yea when I first started seeing the packs without the word platinum on the box I was concerned but A. It's a big thing to miss a word off the packaging if you are trying to fake blades and B. After talking to the vendor and then trying the blades for myself I am 100% sure these are pucker and very nice too, I know it sounds silly but I did look down at my razor to see if there was a blade in it while I was shaving, that is how smooth they are, they cost a little more, But not twice the price of Nacets as I've seen mentioned somewhere and imo worth the little extra if you can get hold of them. There were some concerns about the new packs being fakes but as Blademonkey says still the same blades inside a redesigned package.
Look at gemstone trading £16.99 and they knock Astra's into a cocked hat!As long as the rubie's are £20 plus for a hundred, then I can't see me ordering them over the nacets, or the Astra.

Put you name down for pre order, no need to get bent out of shape because I blew your £20.00 plus for a hundred out of the water!Out of stock.
I too love Astra SPs so much I bought 500 of them and the Nacets and if I can get a deal on rubies I will get 500 of them too!I got 25 in a sample pack from gemstone. Others were sputniks also very good blades, polsilvers and astra greens.

Yes, the more you buy the cheaper they get. How much for 100 Nacets from the same vendor?Even £16.99 is quite a bit more than the nacets, I paid under £20 for 200
The Rubies work out to be about £3.00 more per 100 blades, not much for such a great blade. Buy what you want, it's no skin off my nose! 3p per blade more and you are whingeing about that!!!Even £16.99 is quite a bit more than the nacets, I paid under £20 for 200
