jds said:It had to be done. There are mornings when I just do not have the time for a full DE shave, and in these instances I reach for a good quality brushless cream and a cartridge razor. So I decided to pick one of the manual FlexBalls up in the Superdrug deal - under £6 for the manual version. My brushless creams at the moment are Ortigia Bergamatto and Lucky Tiger. I also picked up a Bulldog Cream in Tescos for £1.75. Add in a pack of 4 Fusion ProGlides for £7.99 from the Bay and I think I'm sorted now for a while. Will probably give it a whirl over the weekend.
Cheers

jds said:The economics deserve some scrutiny too. If we look at blade cost I paid £7.99 for 4 Gillette cartridges that will give me, what, two weeks shave each? £8 for two months. I pay £12.50 for 20 Kai Captain blades for my Mongoose and each of those gives me two weeks, so that's £12.50 for, say, nine months, which isn't too bad when all said and done...

That makes so much sense! - to anyone not a member here! We know the real cost of trad shaving.
joe mcclaine said:I get 30 shaves out of a ProGlide cartridge, which means I get a year's worth of daily shaves out of one of those £30 bulk buy packs from Boots.
That £30 comes from Boots points collected from buying Christmas presents by the way.
Therefore, my shaves are FREE.
And you hobby shavers think you're saving money!?
Pah!
