Glad to know there good razors i will keep an eye out for a red tipDepending on the model - one of the best daily shavers. Red Tip is my favourite, but some regular flair tips are quite good as well.
Thanks for that makes it 61 years old they certainly made them to last as it works beautifullyI second @Helveticum on the quality. As a USA-made razor, the date code is, I believe, the first quarter of 1958 for that model.
Thank you i'm surprised it turned out really nice just after a good clean i'm really looking forward to trying it out laterThey have a good following and are capable of delivering a great shave. That has turned out nicely and good price too. Date is correct.

That's a really good razor — very well made, and quite classy to my eye. It isn't an aggressive model, but should have a bit more bite than a modern Wilkinson Sword. My dad used one just like it, and probably from around the same year, but unfortunately he threw it out after moving over to cart razors.
i'm in the ukSheesh!!!
You UK based or US?
If in the UK what a bargain.
For whatever reasons the Super-Speed family doesn't seem to attract the hordes of seekers that the "Fatboy", Aristocrat & Rocket do. Probably more to do with the rarity of the latter ones and the novelty factor.
Great deal on a great razor! Best DE TTO ever made IMHO, the adjustables are sorely overrated, and the only difference with the Red Tip is the handle, which is heavier and slightly larger in diameter.
