That's exactly what I've read, I must admit that I haven't tried Tabac yet, but it's on a must try list. SIM is very slick and cushioning, it's easily the best product I've tried in stick form, and effortlessly produces enough lather for a good 3 pass shave.
Oddly enough, if Mäurer & Wirtz were to release SIM shaving stick again, it would likely be an overnight success... I don't understand why they wouldn't produce it again.
Tabac stick was a shaving revelation for me. Superb performance and after shave feel is out of this world. I love everything about it. I would happily only use Tabac. Soaps are starting to bore me these days most are overpriced and under perform. Some are outstanding and are the ones I will only use from now on. Tabac is one of them as is Meissner.
