If you try a vintage SE you'll appreciate our ancestors got some things right.
I have a 1912 coming my way because I want the case.
If it's decent you can have it for a fiver, if not you can have it gratis.
I don't have the core, but I have the V1 Genesis and I de-spine and trim the Gem to fit. If you have a nipper, it's a breeze.
Gem Micromatic or Featherweight (the Featherweights are very cheap). I'm happy to be corrected, but I think these razors were designed to use the blades you have. The 1912s can use them, but they should really be shimmed to replicate the original blade position.
I'll let you know what condition it's in when it arrives. That's an incredibly kind offer, though I would pay a fiver plus postage!

The 1912 imo shaves very well with or without a shim.YMMV, but to be honest, I haven't really noticed any difference shimming or not.
