I agree that they are lovely. Mine has a beautifully ornate handle, and is indeed a thing of beauty. However, I just can't wondering what it will look and feel like with a Sabre handle - possibly like something from an episode of Tomorrow's World or Buck Rogers, but it'll be fun finding out!'12's are pimped and perfect right out of the box. If that's the three inch ATT handle it would be great for any three piece DE, but it's too long for an SE, and puts too much mass too far away from the head, but you could do much worse.
A clear improvement
The handle is my least favourite bit of the Sabre, but I'm all for experimenting and modding.Well, I couldn't resist. Art deco meets Schwartzlander. I also found out that the Sabre handle could swallow a 5/16" grub screw, but that doesn't seem to matter once they're mated.

Blimmin’ ‘eck! I had to do a double take as I thought Toby had gotten himself a Leaf or Twig or Branch or whatever they’re called.I even used a brass screw. (I actually threaded a brass rod that I use pieces of for razors)
