Following my purchase of a Star Cadet (from Jamies of this forum), I finally plucked up the courage to try it for myself. I watched some videos on youtube and read all the postings on the SE user page, then took the plunge.
Usual prep; shower, badger brush with Proraso, and one of the stainless se blades from Connaught which Jamie kindly included.
What a fantastically efficient tool! Only one flesh wound on a tiny lump on my neck which gives trouble with DE's as well. Very clean shave with only two passes, and zero irritation, so I'm well chuffed.
If you get the chance, try one of these 1912 pattern single edge razors, they're fantastic. :icon_razz:
