Yes. It usually comes down to money, somewhere.Either some EU regulatory thing, or penny pinching. How it pans out is uncertain but I imagine the people who reformulated Ingram will be able to tell us. If they still have jobs that is.
Why mess with a classic? What's the point?
Something similar happened to Absinthe, I believe.Yeah sadly. Bait and switch, where they trade on past glory and by the time you find out they messed it up its too late. (Don't get me started on continental lager!)
Of course sometimes it is because an ingredient gets banned, like oakmoss.
