I thought it could be a simple fix to glue but in practice a tiny bit out and the blade gap's all kaput. I also don't fancy it coming apart mid-shave.

If I dropped a metal razor into the sink, I'd be worried about the sink. It's happened with the bath.

I've had a few close calls with metal razors falling into the sink. Possibly parts can get bent but, as you say, the sink could get the worse of it.
I keep my most commonly used razors in a stand safety on top of my bathroom man-binet (and a second 3D printed one in the under-sink cupboard). These are secure but I have a few other razors balanced on shelves.

Luckily I have another as backup, now do I keep the bottle and refill it from a plastic bottle version or just buy another glass bottle? Hmmmmm

Yes it's a preshave balm but it can also be used afterwards if you wished.

Finished DR Harris Sandalwood AS. Managed 305 uses. I do have another ready to go. I wont be replacing that once it's gone though.

Finished a vintage bottle of Aqua Velva today.
I previously added a pinch of menthol crystals to give me some serious cooling in this heat so unsurprisingly I've got through the half bottle in a few weeks
