Finished.!!

Initially used this as intended - as a pre-shave - but specifically when bowl lathering creams with a synth or badger brush. I can’t fault it for that - works v well & I like the scent of this more than my Proraso Blue. As more of a face latherer with soaps, I then used it exclusively as a post shave balm. It’s ok for that but too thick / heavy for me versus other products I have. I’ll buy again just to have a pot on hand, but will probably only replace my Proraso blue as that worked slightly better both as pre and post shave. A good value product and I can see why it has been around for so long

this came in a wee gift set with a tube of talcum powder, probably 90s. I love the scent and nice simple feeling. might be the same as the one you can still buy but seems stronger to

sadly, my wife doesn't like the scent, it reminds her of her dad who used it, so I won't be refilling with modern forest fresh. I will decant something else into the bottle though. maybe a vintage avon aftershave. or even some sierran breeze.

Well, I looked on the website and found there's a special offer which ends tomorrow, the 4th.
Buy one, £4, buy 2, £6. I hate to miss a bargain so I bought the aftershave and the preshave. One of each for £6. When I was home I found the aftershave bottle was wet. The caps are badly designed. 10% gone, but never mind. At first I couldn't detect a smell; now it's dried I can smell it. Often it's the other way around.
The smell reminds me of Dunhill Desire or, for cost-conscious people like me, Milton Lloyd Bondage Extreme/Colour me green.
Thanks for the tip, @semi
PS The bottles I bought are 125ml.

that offer is always on and off so it'll be back. only the price for two bottles goes up every few years. I'm pretty sure a decade ago it was two for £3 or £4.

Whilst i really like this fresh, light sandalwood scent, for me it has no staying power for an EDP. I do like the soap too but I won’t buy this again due to the lack of longevity. Contrary to reviews online, for me this was not long lasting at all. It contrasts wildly with my H et V Cognac & Cuban Cigars EDP (lasts all day & can be smelt on clothes days later)

got it on holiday in Egypt and I don't think they export it but if I found myself in an Egyptian supermarket that stocks it again, if definitely but another couple of bottles. I usually don't like balms as much as using a splash plus a skin cream but I enjoyed using this one. it's more of a gel than a balm. feels good on the skin and nice bit of menthol in it.

Trumpers Coral Skin Food

Really nice product indeed. A little goes a long way so quite economical. Lovely delicate rose scent. I’m simplifying my post shave routine so once my splashes and balms are used up I probably won’t replace. Just using Cerave moisturising cream.

TOBS Sandalwood Aftershave Lotion

I was gifted this a while ago and enjoyed it. I have the soap too and they match very nicely, good stuff.
