Yeah, I was at Brunel too. Clockwork Orange was the famous one, but I remember the Biology department was turned into a hospital for Inspector Morse one summer whilst I was actually there, and it's been in a couple of comedy shows too - one of The Comic Strip Presents..., and a C4 pilot sitcom set in a 'new' university that thankfully was never commissioned.

ive just discovered this on youtube, a film shot in my hometown 40 years ago. some of the scenery and buildings are still there, some are no longer there. utterly fascinating to me, i love alan bennett and didnt even know this film existed, some great british actors in it too

I guess Liverpool is not really short of film locations. Some surprising films on the list which I'd never thought had scenes shot in the city. Look forward to the next Peaky Blinders series as I live by Crosby beach. Even though we prefer to call it Waterloo beach.

A lot of the Poldark filming was filmed in Cornwal some of it just a few miles from where I live. also one of the James Bond films had some of the filming done in Cornwall, I forget which one it was though! P.

I live near the 'Cardington sheds'.... One is used as a studio for dozens of films.....
The other to hold a giant inflatable waste of money that crashes or deflates

R100 & R101 lived there.

Those hangars were the largest buildings in the world for a while, iirc.

The current BBC WW2 series “World On Fire“ was partially filmed within a couple of hundred of yards of where I work in Wigan. Sean Beans street in the programme is actually Kendal St, Wigan.
