You seldom see anything on forums about this razor. Are many still sold, or are owners quietly using this marvellous razor getting great shaves without fuss.
I see it's price is currently cheaper than when I bought it.
It's a very well made razor, no blade overhang .
It's a myth to say you need feather blades. I get wonderfully close shaves with GSB and Wilkinson sword.
I get bbs shaves every day with no irritation. Even the mildest ATT can irritate. If there are other razors which can do this, let me know.
 
New threads crop up about every now and then, though mostly on B&B.
I actually had one, and really liked how well it was made and how it felt in hand.
However, I ended up selling mine, because it shaved just like the Techs I had and I couldn't justify keeping just for the build quality to myself.
That, and while I'm OK with Techs aren't my favourite SB heads.

They are good razors, though.
 
Had one. Was beautiful to look at but was too mild for my liking. It also needed me to pay attention to the angle a bit otherwise i would end up scraping the lather. Sold it moved on to the Muhle R89 Twist and there was no looking back. The Muhle is long gone too but I do miss it, definitely not the Feather.
 
I love mine and have owned it for a number of years. Perfect weight, length and balance for me. Superb build quality and no blade overhang. I use Astra SP blades and get smooth, close comfortable shaves. I’m a daily shaver so it suits my needs perfectly.

I'm daily too and think this is why we find it so good.
 
The iKon B1 Standard shaves exactly like a vintage Gillette Tech same blade gab, but, has a lot more blade exposure, more blade feel against the vintage Tech and the Feather ASD2 razor

The ASD2 maybe has slightly more blade gap, and the blade exposure is the same as the vintage Gillette Tech.

If you want more blade feel and shave like a vintage Gillette Tech get yourself a iKon B1 Standard, I enjoy the B1 Std.

The Feather ASD2 is a cracking looking razor and one of the best....But, a very poor shaver for me, I've had 4, seduced by the looks and quickly moved them on. YMMV and all that jazz
