Favourite Shaving Soaps

My favourite shaving soaps are definitely the three French shaving soaps from Provence Santé, Pré de Provence, and êShave...

Fellow French brand Institut Karité and the Italian shaving croaps from TFS and Mondial are close behind.

What are yours?

Strangely enough I'm also a French soap fan, with Provence Sante leading the list for best post shave skincare I can recall. Yeah, really excellent and even better than the IK! The Pdp is good and so's the eShave cream but that Provence stuff is amazing. Now keep in mind it's been reformulated and I use the older version with the Verlaine scent which I'm not crazy about. I'm thinking the IK might have changed too since it now comes inna plastic sealed pack rather than the cloth like one from before. Ingredients may be different but I think there's a typo on the box list. Haven't tried this latest version but it smells the same.

I'm mainly shaving cream - TOBS but I am currently using Cyril Salter Indian Sandalwood (Connaught) with success. But a soap I do like is 3P Shaving Soap (Croap) (La Barbiera) - Similar aroma to Cella but not so intense and much better lather. In fact I have a 150g 3P on order arriving this comingThursday.

I bought their big (I think 1kg) bag of 3P last year. Nearly finished a fifth of it (as I scooped 200ml into a container). Great stuff.

Wilkie stick lately. Down to a wee stub of blue on the current fella. Easy to use, smells marvellous and I could probably use battery acid for AS so good is this former budget beauty. Not all the good stuff is gone but when this is, I shall remember it fondly.
