I thought soIs it really a croap?
I only have a tube here, I did have the original green tub but I PIFed it away...I thought so
I thought so
do you like the tub better than the tube? I finished a red tube recently and liked it but it's been years since I've used the tub. I had the green tub in 2012.
the cella tub that I used back then ended up with stearic crystals forming but I don't remember the proraso doing that.
this poll closed yesterday and I'd have expected 3P to do better. looks like Vitos and extro are the favourites here then TFS and cella.
the newest reformutation marked "super formula" on the tubs and tubes is their best yet imo.i had all ;red, white, green and blue in their previous recipe and the the newest is better.the single edge line is fantastic also.
Which version do you have?My favourite is Acqua di parma which I'd class as a crooap. Luxury .
There's only one now. In the yellow tub with black lid. The empty one makes a wonderful bowl for lathering.Which version do you have?
I have been really impressed with the Saponificio Bignoli Antica Ricetta shaving soap, so much so I am going to order The Goodfellas’ Smile Tallow N.1 shaving soap.Regarding Bignose ... I mean Bignoli, they have two formulations but their main one is: Aqua (Water), Stearic Acid, Myristic Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Coconut Acid, Triethanolamine, Sodium Hydroxide, Parfum (Fragrance), Glycerin, Oryza Sativa (Bran Oil), Myristyl Lactate, Sodium Phytate, Citronellol, Coumarin, Linalool < those last few ingredients will change with scent, as they're ... well, scent ingredients.
The star of the show from them is their Antica Ricetta (Traditional Recipe): Potassium Cocoate, Potassium Tallowate, Potassium Stearate, Aqua (Water) Potassium Carbonate, Parfum (Fragrance), Oryza Sativa (Bran Oil) Citral, Limonene, Linalool, Eugenol, Geraniol ... which as you can see is Cocoate & Tallowate, like Cella.
I'm not sure what Bran Oil brings to the show, but they seem to think it does something.
I have a tub of the Traditional Recipe and test-lather was very successful indeed. It's Fat February at the moment and I'm zealous, but I'll work in a proper shave with it soon enough.
The ingredients are similar, but happily not identical.Regarding Bignose ...
