Fan or bulb badger what's the difference.

Fan or bulb badger which is best and why?

My current brush look more like fans. I’m about to pull the trigger on some Thaters, economics of shipping to UK means I’ll be buying a few.
Should I buy two of each or will I by disappointed with a bulb?

If I’m correct I think the fan is better for face lathering and bulb better for bowl lathering having said that I have a bulb and mainly face lather

And I like fans but mainly bowl lather!
It's a matter of preference, you will still make a good lather!

I prefer the look of bulbs but always find them disappointing in use, too pokey, too concentrated... I like a bit of splay whilst face lathering.

For facelathering, bulbs can be a bit pointy. i prefer the fans.

I find the pure fans seem to cover too much of my face as I build a lather. Bulb or hybrid work best for me, but I suspect it's all about personal preference and what appeals to the individual. There's no right or wrong solution.
