Soap: Extro The End

This soap was everything I hoped it would be. Super slick and really fragrant. This has pushed its way in to my top 3 Extro soaps. It's a stronger scent than Right Handed Giant with a few extra notes in the tail that I can't quite out my finger on. Smells great. This is the scent profile:

Top Notes: basil, calabria bergamot, lemon, absinthium artemisia , lavender.
Heart Notes: geranium, ylang ylang.
Base Notes: oak moss, patchouly, sandalwood, tonca bean, vetiver, vanilla.

The graphics - a shark about to eat a lady on a lilo. I'm not sure what that's about.

We could tell you, but then we'd have to, you know the rest ...

When I used to get brut from my local (cheap) store as a kid, the smell was so strong and something I can't think of at the moment, it used to take the back of your throat out. Put me off Brut ever since. Years later a colleague was wearing a nice smelling scent, when I asked him what it was, he told me Brut, the same that Elvis used to wear. Christ knows what the stuff was I used to get.

The real McCoy was before my time but I'm led to believe P&B Right Handed Giant is a close match. This smells like a stronger version of that soap - maybe slightly more complex.

P&B RHG was a more muted version of the original Brut IMO. Yes, I owned a tub and traded it to someone who wanted it worse than I did.

I have a few new Extro soaps to try out over the next few months. I thought I'd give the Isola a try today.

The scent from the jar is a mixture of seaside* and citrus. The citrus comes more to the front once lathered. It's a pleasant enough scent but doesn't bring anything new to the party for me.

Performance was typical Extro - looks foamy to start with but quickly bursts in to a slick lather. Residual slickness was good and my face felt very nice at the end once rinsed.

*Don't ask me to describe seaside - it's just what springs to my mind.

Extro Espezial. Here's the blurb: The Extro Cosmesi Shaving Cream Espezial is a hypoalergenic shaving cream with the oriental scent of Pepper, Vetiver, Amber Patchouli and Vanilla. It's a deeply masculine scent but one that is full of surprise.

Like the Freddo, the scent from the jar is mostly dominated by the veg base with a woody undertone. This woody note, which I'm assuming is the pepper, comes more to the front once lathered and the scent of the base goes. I didn't get the notes described above and I'm underwhelmed with the scent as a whole.

Performance was fine. No different to the other Extros I've used.
