Everytime I see a bell, who do I think of?

Yup! Our old friend Fido.

This was in the local rag in the town where I work.

Thanks for posting this!

I will copy a link on the American Bell Association Web site - you think I'm a bell nut - there are some truly serious collectors there! They love stories like the one you highlighted.

It's risky mentioning bells when I'm around. I usually have a tale to tell.

Talking of stolen bells...............

Take a look at this blog about one of my door bells.

It seems like I may have a stolen bell on my front doorstep. But no none has ever come back to me to confirm this from the old public school it may have been stolen from. I have been quite open about it and offered to return it. I ring it on special occasions. Last time at midnight on new year's eve - I stopped at 6. My ears were ringing.
