Eureka Razor, any info? (bit weird!)

I found this on my travels, I had mentioned it in the acquisition thread, but couldn't show pics.. so here we go:
Takes standard "gillette" blades it says in the instructions, and I tried one in there, it works.

I bought it out of sheer curiosity, because it looked cool and unusual, also because it's mint & boxed, and includes the original blade still in the wrapper.
I don't think it's ever been used.

So can anyone shine some light on this piece of kit?
Googling "eureka" & "DE razor" give you a lot of posts on those that have seen the light and stopped using carts... ;)

The only thing I've seen vaguely similar to this are the travel razors on here.

I've got one of those Bigelow Parkin razors on there. I'll try and get some pics of it over the weekend, if anyone's interested.
