Is it possible to fix a missing pin off the base plate that hold the blade in place?
Not sure where to start to look for one

Are you looking at the one on eBay at the moment. It doesn't look repairable to me and not sure I am buying the description which says it doesn't affect the blade grip

I noticed that one. I wouldn't take the job on to restore it personally. Maybe one of the lathe men like Daz could give his opinion on repairing it.

Think it will be a big job like? Would not of thought that it would not hold the blade in tight . All the pin does is keep the blade aligned

No not a huge job for Daz's skills, tolerance fit I guess if it fell out.

If you have a hole to fill, then 'all you need' is a bit of bar the fight diameter and either some glue, or a centre punch a flat block and a small hammer
