Drying DE razors after use

I have a little screw top jar of surgical spirit that I dip the head in.




In the bathroom everybody can hear you scream.

Use Barbicide, then you get a nice blue tint to it...........

So, dipping your head in surgical spirit - is that a pre or post shave ritual?

Which head are we talking about dipping here.

I just put the whole thing under my special razor self sharpening pyramid which is re aligned every 28 days . Isn't that what everyone else does ? No ?

I open the doors slighly as per gillettes instructions rinse under the tap close doors give it a flick or two and put it to bed.

To wake the blade up in the morning I swishing it around in some coffee :shave :lol: :lol:

I also do nuffink, either that or it's out with the metal polish. Except in the case of Antdad's razor I hasten to add, which is getting treated like an honoured guest.

I open my TTO's, wipe the gunk of the blade (going outwards, as not to blunt the blade), give it a rince, maybe a toothbrush if there's gunk. wipe on a micro fibre cloth, put the blade back in, leave on its side, slightly open. Boil them in a water/vinegar solution between blade changes. (+rinse afterwards)

Rince in hot water, shake and leave to dry next to the open window.
When I change the blade I clean it with a damp flannel to get the soap marks off, job done.
