That's a good looking razor and the price is pretty good as well. The handle is brass while the head is zinc die cast, both are electroplated in a bright chrome finish.

Yes and no. There are a few technical differences - the solid bar has no grooves, the two stabilizing posts are cut short, and the screw post is longer but only threaded at the end (meaning the head is not necessarily compatible with other handles, only those with deeply threaded holes). And judging by reviews I've seen it appears to feel a bit more aggressive.

I was curious, but I won't buy a zamak head at this price point, especially if it turns out I'm stuck with that handle.
 
My comment was basically about what these new Dovo razors are made of compared to a regular Merkur. Still zamak head and I would have expected something different at the higher price point these sell for.
