It's one thing being the Hollywood-ised Bond and another purporting to be the original, whiskey drinking, hardened Bond of the books. None of this shaken not stirred lark. If it's the former I'm happy with whatever. If it's the latter then obviously it'll cause some controversy not sticking to the books.

I blame the writing rather than the actor - he could have been excellent with the right scripts and dare I say it a bit of almost overacting the part.
