Do these look genuine?

Hi,

Having recently tried the Gillette Sharpedge (Yellow) as the were sent with my Muhle 89 by Connaught I have been impressed with them.

So much so that I want to try the other flavours of gillette. I have arranged a swap of some derbys for the green gillettes, but ant to try the platinum too.

After a bit of ebay searching I found these...

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/70-Gillette-7-oCLOCK-Platinum-Double-Edge-Razor-Blades_W0QQitemZ260566969416QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3cab006c48" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/70-Gillette-7-oCL ... 3cab006c48</a><!-- m -->

I have often seen a +1 on the packaging, as thats how my free ones were from connaugt, but I have never seen a +2.

Im just a bit suspicous they may be counterfiet and will affect my judgement of the genuine articals.

...just to add I think the Gillette sharp edge yellows are generally considered the best of the lot.

I have been very pleased with the yellows, despite reviews seeming t suggest they wouldnt suit me. I thik they will be my first proper "go to" blade with a large order. I jusr didnt want to do that without trying the others, especially the platinum ones as it seems that platinum blades of other makes give e a better shave.

What did you read in the reviews that suggested this blade would not suit you?

Blade review/opinions can be the most contentious and should be treated as such. Personally I didn't care for the version of platinum's that I tried but we all differ.

If you've decided you like them and they work well for you just buy some, it can take quite a while to decide what blades you do and don't like and that doesn't include what blades you feel perform best in different razors.
