Culmak Boar

Got two Vintage Brushes a couple of weeks ago, one was a Culmak Badger Butterscotch, the other was a Culmak Boar, i have been using this boar for the past few days, it's great, whips up soap so quick and produces loads of lather.

i have no idea how old it is, but if you see one cheap, try it, guess as it is used vintage it has been nicely broken in, but its still nice and dense, and the knot is in lovely condition, i washed it with normal shampoo, then a few latherings with proraso and it was nice fresh and ready to use.

It's like the full size brother to the culmak ones you always find in the vintage grooming sets.

I got a small one in a grooming set.

I love it and I am on the lookout for a larger one.

It's an amazing brush, my Dad had one for as many years as I can remember. Thanks for the pics.

I remember my dad having one of these for years with, his had a black bottom part but identical in design. They must have sold thousands of these at the time and so many probably got chucked in the bin. Nice to see one on such good condition.

its really nice, lathers really well, especially with Soaps, used it with Crabtree Sienna, and Palmolive, awesome brush

I have a NOS one of these in it's original box. Never thought about using it as it unused at the moment. Maybe I should give it a go........
